Longtime Warren Central High School girls soccer coach Gary Roberts knows this year's group is special.

Warriors wounded
The Covenant Christian boys soccer team has more injuries than coach Michael Johnson can don't forget in his five seasons using the group. The school's tennis courts is going to be named following Flanary, who has been the boys coach because 1972 and was girls coach from 1981-89. A scholarship will be designed in his honor. Flanary has been a teacher and coach in Lebanon Community School Corporation for 44 years. . . . The Hamilton Southeastern girls soccer group was No. 24 inside the National Soccer Coaches Association of America rankings last week. Carmel is ranked No. 8 nationally. . . . The quarterfinals and semifinals with the City boys tennis tournament will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Park. The finals are set for four:30 p.m. on Monday at Riverside. Cathedral is ranked No. 23. . . . The deadline for the 2012 Wendy's High School Heisman Award applications is Oct. two. Applications can be submitted on the internet at www.wendysheisman .com. . . .
